Application on Desktop?

Postby Cross Creek » Wed Aug 26, 2009 11:25 am

Hi Jan,

Great product! Quick question though.... I would like to set up a shortcut on my desktop that I can click on which will automatically bring up my phone sheet without logging in. Basically, I don't want to have to pull up the webpage and log in my username and password every time I want to open my phone sheet. Thanks!!

Hi Matt,

You've made an interesting request because we designed the login process specifically to require a login every time. We appreciate the value of the information inside people's phonesheets and want to be certain that it's protected. That said, I understand that if there is no security concern, it would be more efficient to have a short cut that automatically logs you into your phonesheet.

As of right now, I don't have a one-step solution... but I do have a two-step solution.

1. Go into your browser and set it to remember passwords. If you're using Firefox, the path is:
Tools>Options>Security. Make sure that REMEMBER PASSWORDS FOR SITES is clicked.

2. Go to PhoneSheet.com and log in. Click on the PhoneSheet icon in the browser Address Bar and drag that onto your desktop. It will be a shortcut to open PhoneSheet.com in your browser.

If you click on the shortcut, it should take you to the PhoneSheet.com home page with the ID and Password already populated. Then all you have to do is click GO to log in.

Hope that helps. Let us know.
